Anatolian Bear ( Ursus thibetanus )
Anatolian Bear hunting could not be carried out
since 1997 according to the Turkish hunting
laws. The hunted bears so far reached a weight
up 350 kg.
The whole Black Sea region, mainly Bolu and
Artvin area and Mediterrenean region provide a
habitat for Anatolian Bear.
It is expected that the future Turkish
government grant licences as the number of bears
have increased during the preservation time.
